  • Do you offer consultations?
    Yes! We provide complimentary consultations to discuss your hair goals, assess your hair health, and develop a personalised plan that’s right for you. To book a consultation, either call the salon, or book online.
  • How do I book an appointment?
    You can book your appointment online through our website or by giving us a call. We also welcome walk-ins when availability allows, though we recommend booking in advance.
  • Can I book with a specific stylist?
    Of course! In fact, we encourage you to book with the stylist of your choice. Especially if there's something specific, or an area of expertise that you need, such as creative colour or curly cuts.     We know that finding the right stylist is key to loving your hair! At Earth to Betty, each of our stylists has unique strengths, from creative colour and corrective work to balayage and curly hair expertise. To help you find your perfect match, we offer free in-person consultations where we can discuss your hair goals and connect you with the stylist best suited to bring your vision to life.     Absolutely! We have stylists who specialise in curly hair and are trained to work with and care for all curl types.
  • What if I’m not fully satisfied with my service?
    We want you leaving the Earth to Betty salon feeling your absolute best. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We invite all clients to fill out a feedback form after their appointment, and we’ll happily follow up to ensure you’re fully satisfied.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS, and AFTERPAY. For your convenience, we can also process payments via digital wallets at both locations.
  • Can I get a quote before my appointment?
    Absolutely! We believe in transparency, so we always provide an in-person quote before we begin your service. This way, you’ll know exactly what to expect, with no surprises. For a more accurate estimate tailored to your hair’s unique needs, we also offer free in-person consultations. During this consult, we can discuss your goals, assess your hair and provide a detailed quote for the service.     To keep your colour fresh and your hair looking its best, we recommend rebooking every 6-8 weeks for colour and every 8-12 weeks for cuts, though this can vary depending on your individual needs.
  • How much does a haircut cost at Earth to Betty?
    Our haircut prices vary based on the stylist’s experience level and the specific needs of your hair. Generally, haircuts start at $100 and may increase depending on the length, thickness and style or complexity. You can have a look at our pricing on the website. To ensure complete transparency, we’re happy to provide a personalised quote before starting any service. If you’d like a more detailed estimate, feel free to book a free in-person consultation with us. For colour, we work with EVO and O&M – both brands known for low-tox, high-quality formulas that deliver vibrant, lasting colour without compromising on ethics. For styling, we also use EVO, which offers a range of eco-conscious, professional styling products that keep your hair looking its best while staying kind to the planet. And for added hair strength and shine, we trust Olaplex to maintain your hair’s health during colour treatments.   • Are all your products vegan and cruelty-free?
    They sure are! All of the products we use at Earth to Betty are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We only partner with brands that share our commitment to ethical, sustainable practices.
  • What is ‘low-tox’ colour, and why do you use it?
    Earth to Betty is founded on being safe for you and the environment. Low-tox colour means our colouring products are formulated with fewer harmful chemicals, making them a safer choice. It's all part of our mission to reduce our impact on waterways and provide safer choices for our clients.
  • Are your services safe for sensitive skin or allergies?

  • What should I expect when I visit Earth to Betty?
    From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted by friendly staff, the calming scent of essential oils, and be surrounded by plants in a soothing atmosphere. Our goal is for you to feel relaxed, pampered, and fully confident in your stylist’s hands.
  • How should I prepare for my curly haircut appointment?
    We love working with curls! To help us bring out the best in your natural texture, please come in with clean, untied and naturally dried hair. Avoid clipping or styling it before your appointment – this helps us see how your curls naturally fall, so we can shape them to perfection. After we’ve crafted your cut, you’re welcome to stay for a luxurious wash, treatment and diffused dry to see the final look fully styled. We’re here to make sure your curls look their best, from the initial cut to the final bounce!
  • How should I prepare for my colour appointment?
    To ensure the best possible colour results, we kindly ask that you arrive with clean hair – free of any products, including grey cover sprays or heavy styling products. This helps our stylists apply your colour smoothly and evenly, and ultimately will give you the best looking hair possible. For lasting, vibrant colour, we recommend using salon-quality home care products. High-quality products not only help maintain your colour but also keep your hair healthier between visits. We want to get the download of your full hair history! Things like if you've used any at-home colour, if you’re a swimmer, or if you’re using supermarket shampoos – all of these things can have chemical reactions and we can make sure to tailor your service and give you beautiful, long-lasting results.
  • Can I bring my own products to use?
    We use carefully selected products aligned with our sustainability and quality standards. However, if you have a specific need or product preference, feel free to discuss it with your stylist.
  • What’s the best way to travel to Earth to Betty’s Ascot Vale and Brunswick locations?
    Ascot Vale Location By Tram: The Route 57 tram travels along Maribyrnong Road, with a stop close to our Ascot Vale salon. By Train: The closest train station is Ascot Vale Station on the Craigieburn line, about a 10-minute walk to the salon. Parking: There is free parking available along Maribyrnong Road and nearby side streets. Please check signs for any time limits. Brunswick Location By Tram: The Route 19 tram travels along Sydney Road and has a stop near our Brunswick salon. By Train: The closest station is Jewell Station on the Upfield line, just a short walk to the salon. Parking: There’s ample street parking on Sydney Road and adjacent streets. Please note some areas have paid or timed parking, so be sure to check signage. Whether you’re coming by public transport or driving, we’re easy to find and look forward to welcoming you at Earth to Betty.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Life happens, and we totally get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice. This allows us to offer the spot to another client and keep our schedule running smoothly. If a booking is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the appointment, we will retain your deposit. We understand that unexpected situations come up, so please reach out if there are extenuating circumstances – we’ll always do our best to be accommodating.
